On 21st of June, 2012, Dr Gokhale and his team had successful video conferencing with heart specialists at Methodist Hospital, Houston, Texas on ways to manage patients with complicated heart valve problems. Dr Gokhale, in a statement, said that sometimes patients come with heart valve problems which can be very challenging to manage. He teamed up with Dr Mahesh Ramachandani, Director of Minimally Invasive Cardiac Surgery, Division Chief, Cardiac Surgery, Methodist DeBakey Heart and Vascular Center, Houston, Texas and his team members so that the patients in India as well as USA can get the benefit of sharing the group’s experience. They have started videoconferencing on 3rd Wednesday of every month to discuss these issues and they are looking at extgending these facilities so some more heart centers in India.
