The dedicated Centre was launched by the Honorable Health Minister for the Government of Andhra Pradesh, Dr. D L Ravindra Reddy in the presence of Dr. K Ravindranath, Chairman & Managing Director, Global Hospitals Group and Dr. Alla Gopala Krishna Gokhale, Chief Cardio Thoracic, Heart Transplant & Minimal Access Cardiac Surgeon. Minimal Access Cardiac Surgeries for heart bypass, valve repair & replacement and correction of congenital heart defects was pioneered by Global Hospitals in Andhra Pradesh. The procedure immensely benefits patients with multiple advantages over traditional cardiac surgery, such as no-cutting of chest bones, small incision of only 5-6 cms on side of the chest, low risk of infections, shorter hospital stay, faster recovery, and low risk of keloids of the scar.
