“The catastrophe of COVID-19 and the lockdown that followed has made it tougher for the government to procure PPE kits, 3-ply face mask and other safety gear at such short notice. While the junior doctors are putting all their efforts to treat the situation and combat the pandemic it is our moral duty to provide them all the assistance they need, given how they are always right in the face of danger. So when the shortage of masks and PPE kits were brought to our attention, we made all the efforts to procure as many safety gear kits as possible and we are making sure our front-line warriors get all the help they need”, said leading lung transplantation surgeon in Hyderabad, Dr Alla Gopala Krishna Gokhale also the chairman of Sahrudaya Health, Medical and Educational Trust.
Earlier, Sahrudaya Health, Medical and Educational Trust led by Dr Alla Gopala Krishna Gokhale has also donated 50,000 3-Ply face masks to police personnel followed by 100PPEs and 20000 3-ply face masks to junior doctors in Osmania and Niloufer hospitals respectively.
