As the state battles the first wave of Corona, the junior doctors of Osmania General Hospital and Niloufer Hospital were donated 100PPEs and 20000 3-ply face masks by Dr Alla Gopala Krishna Gokhale in Hyderabad.

The lack of health infrastructure was one of the problems we have collectively faced as Corona began to ravage the country. It was difficult for the state government machinery to procure and distribute the required PPE kits and ply masks for the junior doctor, the primary front line warriors in this battle.

Under the leadership of Dr GokhaleSahrudaya Health, Medical and Educational Trust were at the forefront of many philanthropic initiatives and activities across states of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh. As our contribution, we have taken it on ourselves to procure and distribute the safety gear and medical equipment to the front line warriors across the community.

“I would like to thank Junior Doctors at Osmania and Niloufer Hospitals for working round the clock putting their lives on the line to combat this COVID-19 situation in the state. We owe you a lot and this is only a small aid from our side. I would also like to thank Dr Vishnu, President, and Telangana Junior Doctors’ Association for making this possible”, said leading Lung Transplantation Surgeon in Hyderabad, Dr Gokhale as he handed over the kits and masks to the hospital authorities.
