Dr Gokhale organized a workshop on “Minimal Access Cardiac Surgery” at Yashoda Hospitals, Secunderabad on 14th and 15th of April, 2012. More than 125 surgeons from all over India participated in this training. Dr Mahesh Ramchandani from Houston, Texas and Dr Hendrik Treede from Germany did 3 live surgeries training the surgeons on various methods of minimally invasive cardiac surgery. For the first time in India, Dr Gokhale also organized a wet lab with bovine hearts giving hands on experience to the participants in minimally invasive mitral valve surgery. Dr Gokhale shared his vast experience in the area of Minimal access Heart surgery and stressed on the benefits to the patients.
